Ensuring that all patients can access and receive health care that respects and responds to their individual preferences, needs, history, and situation within and outside the four walls of the exam room is a key focus of ReproCollab.
Background
A robust network of providers and clinic staff trained and capable of both counseling for and providing all forms of contraception is also critical to sexual and reproductive health care in Colorado. As such, ReproCollab funds activities focused on ensuring a trained and competent workforce that centers the patient in care decisions.
Summary of Activities
LARC Clinical Training: training and increasing competencies in long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) insertion and removal for providers in safety net clinic settings across Colorado, in both urban and rural settings.
Contraceptive counseling training: training for providers on patient-centered contraceptive counseling, including how to engage with adolescents seeking care.
